The Service is operated by Valhista LLC, an Illinois limited liability company (“Valhista,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).
By creating an account, accessing, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the Service.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Valhista, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
If you are using the Service on behalf of another person or entity, you represent that you have authority to accept these Terms on their behalf.
2. Description of the Service
Valhista provides tools for personal asset inventory management, organization, AI-powered item identification, estimated market valuations, property value estimates, and related reporting features.
The Service is designed to help users organize information about their belongings and property and generate informational estimates.
Valhista does not provide professional appraisal, insurance, legal, tax, accounting, lending, financial, or real-estate services.
All valuations and estimates are informational estimates only and are not formal appraisals, certified valuations, guarantees of value, or guarantees of a particular sale price.
When you use Valhista, you are contracting with Valhista LLC.
3. User Accounts
You may need to create an account to use certain features of the Service.
You agree to:
- Provide accurate and complete information when creating your account.
- Keep your account information reasonably up to date.
- Maintain the confidentiality of your login credentials.
- Notify us if you believe your account has been accessed without authorization.
- Be responsible for activity occurring through your account.
- Use only one account unless Valhista expressly permits otherwise.
- Not share your account credentials with another person.
You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose.
- Violate any applicable law or regulation while using the Service.
- Upload content that you do not have the right or permission to upload.
- Upload content that infringes another person’s intellectual property, privacy, or other rights.
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service, another user’s account, or Valhista’s systems.
- Interfere with, disrupt, damage, or place an unreasonable burden on the Service or its underlying infrastructure.
- Introduce malware, viruses, or other harmful code.
- Scrape, spider, crawl, harvest, or programmatically extract information from the Service without our written permission.
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to discover the source code of the Service except where expressly permitted by applicable law.
- Circumvent security, access controls, usage limits, or other restrictions.
- Use automated systems to abuse or overload the Service.
- Use AI-generated valuations or reports as formal appraisals, certified insurance valuations, tax determinations, loan valuations, or other professional determinations without appropriate independent verification.
We may investigate suspected violations and may suspend or terminate access as described in these Terms.
5. Subscriptions, Auto-Renewal, and Billing
Valhista may offer free and paid subscription plans. Current pricing, features, and billing intervals will be displayed in the Service at the time of purchase.
Automatic Renewal
By starting a paid subscription, you authorize the applicable payment processor to charge your selected payment method automatically at the beginning of each new billing period until you cancel.
Subscriptions may be billed monthly or annually depending on the plan selected.
Renewals will generally be charged at the then-current price for your selected plan and billing cycle.
If we materially change the renewal price, we will provide notice as required by applicable law and, where appropriate, give you an opportunity to cancel before the new price applies.
Cancellation
You may cancel your subscription through the account or subscription-management tools made available by Valhista or its payment provider.
Cancellation stops future automatic renewals.
Unless otherwise required by applicable law or expressly stated in our refund policy, you will retain access to paid features through the end of the billing period you have already paid for.
Upgrades and Downgrades
If supported by your subscription plan, upgrades may take effect immediately and may be prorated according to the applicable billing system.
The timing and effect of downgrades may depend on the subscription plan and billing cycle.
Failed Payments
If a payment fails, the payment provider may retry the transaction. We may temporarily suspend paid features until payment is successfully completed.
If payment remains unsuccessful, we may cancel or terminate the paid subscription.
Payment Processing
Payments and subscriptions may be processed through Paddle, which may act as the merchant of record for applicable transactions and may handle payment processing, invoicing, taxes, refunds, and related customer-service functions.
The terms and policies presented by Paddle during checkout may also apply to your transaction.
Refunds
Unless otherwise required by applicable law, Valhista offers a 30-day money-back guarantee for paid subscriptions.

6. Intellectual Property and User Content
The Service, including its software, design, branding, logos, text, graphics, features, functionality, and other materials provided by Valhista, are owned by or licensed to Valhista and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.
You retain ownership of photos, descriptions, inventory information, and other content that you upload to the Service (“User Content”).
By uploading User Content, you grant Valhista a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, transmit, process, format, modify, display, and otherwise use that User Content only as reasonably necessary to:
- Operate and provide the Service;
- Process your requests;
- Provide AI-powered identification, organization, valuation, and reporting features;
- Maintain and secure the Service;
- Troubleshoot and improve the functionality of the Service; and
- Comply with applicable law.
This license does not transfer ownership of your User Content to Valhista.
We do not claim ownership of your photos or personal inventory information merely because you upload them to Valhista.
You represent that you have the rights and permissions necessary to upload your User Content and grant the license described above.
7. AI Features, Valuations, and Data Sources
Valhista uses automated systems and artificial intelligence to provide certain features.
AI-generated information, including item identification, categorization, condition assessment, descriptions, valuations, and property estimates, may be inaccurate, incomplete, outdated, or incorrect.
Item Valuations
Item valuations are estimates only.
Depending on the feature, Valhista may consider information such as:
- Publicly available sold-listing information;
- Public auction results;
- Manufacturer or dealer published pricing;
- Public marketplace or classified information;
- Recognized pricing guides;
- Item characteristics and descriptions;
- Condition information;
- Regional or market factors; and
- Other legally permissible market information.
Property Estimates
Property estimates may consider information such as:
- Public property records;
- Public assessor or recorder information;
- Public sale records;
- Market reports;
- Comparable-sale information; and
- Other legally permissible property information.
No Guarantee of Accuracy
Market conditions, geographic differences, item condition, scarcity, demand, taxes, fees, timing, sales channel, incomplete information, and other factors may cause actual market or sale prices to differ substantially from estimates provided by Valhista.
Valhista does not guarantee that any estimate is accurate, current, complete, or suitable for a particular purpose.
Valhista does not represent or warrant that an item will sell for an estimated amount.
Professional Verification
You are solely responsible for independently verifying information before relying on it for:
- Insurance claims or coverage decisions;
- Purchases or sales;
- Loans or financing;
- Tax filings or tax assessments;
- Estates or settlements;
- Legal matters;
- Financial decisions; or
- Any other significant decision.
Valhista reports may be used as organizational or informational starting points for discussions with an insurance adjuster, appraiser, real-estate professional, tax professional, or other qualified professional, but they are not substitutes for professional determinations or final settlement documents.
Valhista is not responsible for losses resulting from reliance on an AI-generated identification, valuation, property estimate, report, or other information generated by the Service, except to the extent liability cannot lawfully be excluded.
Valhista does not scrape, republish, or intentionally store underlying third-party marketplace or property-platform content merely for the purpose of reproducing that content. We seek to use legally permissible information and respect applicable third-party terms and intellectual-property rights.
Valhista does not represent or imply that it is affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by any third-party marketplace, real-estate portal, auction house, pricing guide, publisher, or other data source unless expressly stated.
8. Third-Party Services
The Service may rely on third-party services, providers, websites, APIs, payment processors, authentication providers, AI providers, and data sources.
Third-party services may have their own terms, privacy policies, and requirements.
Valhista is not responsible for the availability, accuracy, security, or practices of third-party services that we do not control.
Your use of third-party services may be subject to their separate terms.
9. Disclaimer of Warranties
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.”
VALHISTA DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS, IMPLIED, STATUTORY, OR OTHERWISE, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, ACCURACY, AVAILABILITY, AND RELIABILITY, EXCEPT TO THE EXTENT SUCH WARRANTIES CANNOT LAWFULLY BE EXCLUDED.
WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT:
- THE SERVICE WILL ALWAYS BE AVAILABLE;
- THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE;
- AI-GENERATED INFORMATION WILL BE ACCURATE;
- VALUATIONS WILL REFLECT ACTUAL MARKET OR SALE PRICES;
- PROPERTY ESTIMATES WILL REFLECT ACTUAL PROPERTY VALUES; OR
- THE SERVICE WILL MEET EVERY USER’S PARTICULAR REQUIREMENTS.
10. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, VALHISTA LLC AND ITS OWNERS, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, CONTRACTORS, AFFILIATES, AND SERVICE PROVIDERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, GOODWILL, OR BUSINESS OPPORTUNITY ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, VALHISTA’S TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THE SERVICE OR THESE TERMS WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF:
- THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO VALHISTA FOR THE SERVICE DURING THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM; OR
- $100.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited or excluded under applicable law.
11. Indemnification
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, you agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Valhista LLC and its owners, officers, employees, contractors, affiliates, and service providers from claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and reasonable expenses arising out of or related to:
- Your violation of these Terms;
- Your misuse of the Service;
- Your User Content;
- Your violation of another person’s rights; or
- Your violation of applicable law.
12. Termination and Suspension
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time through the available account settings.
We may suspend or terminate your access if we reasonably believe that:
- You violated these Terms;
- Your use creates a security or legal risk;
- Your account is involved in fraud, abuse, or unauthorized activity;
- We are required to do so by law; or
- Continued access would materially harm the Service, Valhista, or other users.
Where reasonably practical, we will provide notice before terminating an account, except where immediate action is necessary for security, legal, fraud-prevention, or other legitimate reasons.
Termination does not eliminate obligations or rights that by their nature should survive termination, including applicable provisions concerning intellectual property, disclaimers, limitations of liability, indemnification, and dispute-related provisions.
13. Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be brought in the state or federal courts located in Illinois, and you consent to the jurisdiction and venue of those courts.
Nothing in this section prevents either party from seeking emergency or equitable relief where permitted by law.
14. Changes to These Terms
We may modify these Terms from time to time.
If we make material changes, we may provide notice through the Service, by email, or by another reasonable method.
The updated Terms will include a revised effective date.
Your continued use of the Service after updated Terms become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms, to the extent permitted by applicable law.

By using the Service, you consent to receive electronic communications from Valhista regarding your account, subscriptions, transactions, security, and important Service-related notices.
Electronic communications may include emails, in-app notifications, and notices displayed through the Service.
You may opt out of promotional communications where applicable, but you may continue to receive communications necessary to operate your account or provide important legal, security, billing, or Service notices.
16. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is determined to be unlawful, invalid, or unenforceable, that provision will be enforced to the maximum extent permitted by law, and the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
17. Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with the Valhista Privacy Policy and any other terms expressly incorporated into the Service, constitute the entire agreement between you and Valhista concerning your use of the Service and supersede prior agreements or understandings concerning the Service.
